Session 1: Introduction to Azure IaaS Services

Speaker: Brian Bourne As the very first TAG:IF event, we thought it best to start by laying the ground work.  Microsoft talks about People Centric IT.  We will get past the marketing and straight to the facts. What services exist in Microsoft Windows Azure?  What can you do with them?  What’s mature and what’s in preview mode?  We’ll discuss some simple and high value deployment scenarios, how to get started and how to start evaluating the technology.  This will be a no-fluff introduction to Azure and what it can do.

Session 2: Transforming the Datacenter

Speakers: Dmitry Bogopolskiy & Jose Fehse
A deeper look at how public IaaS offerings and specifically Windows Azure can be leveraged to transform the datacenter.  We’ll take a look at the technology and how to connect your datacenter to Azure.  The discussion will then move to system and application management across private and public cloud and how to leverage Azure services for high availability and disaster recovery solutions and much more.
